In 2001, roots/folk musician John Wort Hannam quit his teaching job and spent 10 months depleting his savings while sitting at his kitchen table, wearing a lucky hat, and writing his first ten songs. Twenty one years later, there are a few feathers in that lucky hat, including a JUNO nomination and a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Album of the Year. These days John Wort Hannam has the same lucky hat but a new sound, a new band, a new confidence, and a ton of new songs – and a trio of new Canadian Folk Music Award nominations!
